MontanaPBS
MontanaPBS is Montana's public television station. It is housed in the same building as the MFA in Science andNatural History Filmmaking. Many of our students find part-time or project work with this Emmy-winning organization.
Along with transmitting PBS's flagship shows such as Frontline, NewsHour, NOVA, American Experience, Nature, and American Masters, MontanaPBS follows an active schedule of original locally inspired production that offers production opportunities for SNHF students. Yellowstone National Park
Located only 80 miles from Bozeman, Yellowstone National Park offers a variety of opportunities to the MFA students.
From the yearly Yellowstone trip to collaborations with the National Park Service, students can find many different opportunities to utilize the park's resources.

NASA
At NASA, you have the opportunity to work and explore careers while still in school. NASA offers several internship opportunities that provide unique NASA-related experiences while contributing to the operation of a NASA facility and the advancement of NASA's missions.
The Pathways Program provides current students with paid work experience and recent graduates with a dynamic career development program at the beginning of their career. To learn more, please visit their website.

The Science & Natural History Program believes that industry experience is essential for each student's success. Our MFA students have many opportunities before graduation to gain work experience and build an impressive C.V. Alumni
MFA alumni work for major agencies and as much-sought-after freelancers. They have worked or held primary positions with: major production organizations such as National Geographic, the BBC, PBS, NASA Godard Flight Center, Discovery, Nat Geo Wild, and the National Park Service; many leading wildlife and conservation NGOs and nonprofits; multiple universities including California State-Sacramento, Colorado State University (Fort Collins),, University of Arkansas, and the University of Alabama; and as the founders and lead filmmakers for award-winning production companies that provide media to funders such as the Smithsonian Channel, the BBC, Vulcan Productions, the National Science Foundation, the Redford Center, the Global foundation for Ocean Exploration, and various divisions of National Geographic.
