MTA 400 - Professional Perspectives Seminar

This Spring semester seminar consists of preparing for a ten-day trip to Los Angeles through weekly meetings, followed by the actual trip over "Spring Break." The goal is to familiarize students directly with the contemporary film/television industries, and to assist students in acquiring a better understanding and appreciation of those industries, as well as establishing contacts in them. Visits to studios, laboratories, post-production facilities, the actual taping of network television shows, and similar activities are scheduled each day in Los Angeles. Of special value are the opportunities to meet and talk with industry professionals in a number of different settings. Many of the trip's hosts are Media & Theatre Arts alumni. Enrollment is limited to twelve students, who apply by letter or e-mail-explaining why this trip will be most valuable-directly to Paul Monaco by no later than October 22, 2003 for the Spring 2004 trip.
